Boatrocker Brewing Co. - Braeside VIC

Known for their world class and international winning beers, Boatrocker Brewing Co. were awarded“Champion Small Brewery” at the Australian International Beer Awards in 2015. Boatrocker Brewing Co. is a small family owned and run Microbrewery which started operating in 2013 in Braeside, Victoria.  In 2015 the Barrel Room opened, housing over 40,000 litres of beer which rests in former wine, whisky and bourbon barrels.  This process adds sweeter notes to the beer and softens any rough edges.

With a love of Belgian Style beer, the co-founder Matt has made numerous trips to Belgium visiting small and large breweries to self educate himself, with the intention of releasing a number of Belgian Style beers as part of their range.

The Barrel Room is the place to visit to sample the different styles in the room with 15 beer taps on hand, and we say why not grab a seat, have a chat and while your're there match your beer with the delicious slow-cooked pork and beef sliders all smoked on site! Bridge Road Brewers - Beechworth VIC

If we told you one of the nations finest craft brewers followed his dream and was first established in his parents backyard shed would you believe us?  Ben Kraus, founder of Bridge Road Brewers did just this, and quickly made it into the Craft Beer scene, later installing his brewery in the rustic old Coach Houses and stables at Beechworth.

As you can imagine a lot has changed since his first days of operation, however the traditional technique of brewing with no pasteurising or preservatives has remained the same.  Bridge Road Brewers doesn’t offer just the run of the mill selection of beers, the team is constantly changing up the recipes to create fresh new brews that satisfy the customers and keep them coming back, and one of the reasons why Bridge Road Brewers are continually scooping up awards for their beers.

Visit the their bar and see the great selection of brews on tap, butif you aren’t too sure of where to start, best bet is to order the beer paddle that samples 10 (yes thats no typo) of their brews.  If you don’t want any regrets, make sure you order one of the freshly baked pretzels, or their renowned pizzas - definitely the best bite I have had in a long time, while tasting.

The atmosphere at Bridge Road Brewers is always buzzing, and credit is due for a great job of creating a family friendly venue with a large beer garden and kids playground.  If you want to escape the family for a moment and see behind the scenes of a working brewery, join one of the tours that are run on Saturdays where you can learn the craft of brewing, visit their website for more details >>
